They LOST MY 8mm FAMILY HISTORY, 40+ years of memories. They are making me do the work with Fed Ex to locate and NO HELP. Fed Ex cannot find. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH ANYTHING

All I did was pay so I have no idea how good the experience is yet! I don’t know why I keep getting emails wanting me to review it! They haven’t even sent out the box yet! Once I get the box, send it in and get my memories back I will let you know how this experience is!

"I LOVE EVERYTHING about Legacy.com"
I LOVE EVERYTHING about Legacy.com. I just received my CD's and flash drive. I needed to upgrade my order for my daughters and this was VERY easy to do. I received my order back very quickly. One of the DVR tapes was pretty old (1960) and was transferred from a Super 8 tape, so I didn't expect that to be perfect. Again, my order was packed very carefully and arrived in perfect condition. I am very glad that I used Legacy.com to preserve precious memories.

"digitizing works, expensive and a bit underhanded"
Digitizing did work as promised when it eventually arrived. However, legacy box charges 90 DOLLARS A MONTH for backing up your files. They just send you a google drive link to these files. Google drive space for the files they digitized is not even close to 90 dollars a month. This is a brazen money grab and makes the whole company seem disreputable, predatory and underhanded. It certainly makes me question the high cost of the digitization services.

I was a little unclear about the process. I paid over $700 and wasn’t sure how I was getting my memories safely to you. The box was fedex too long after in my opinion.

I haven't sent back my memories for scanning but I'm happy with the process so far. My cousin used Legacy Box and was thrilled with the timing and results. Super easy to do for a lifetime of memories in your hands.

"Nothing but good experiences"
I saw legacybox on Groupon and although the production time is pretty long, their price was by far the best and have a very user friendly system and website. So I went ahead and paid for 10 video tapes and expedited production time, filled out their box (super easy and organized) shipped it out and after a few weeks I received it all in the form I requested. All was without any hiccups. I did accidentally sign up and paid for their backup subscription ($20 annually) but canceled it and when I called to ask for a refund they issued it right away. All in all 9/10!

"ordering confusion"
I wanted to order only a 10 piece box for digitizing some home movies. It was supposed to cost (with discount) about $250.00.
Instead I got an invoice for about $1000.00.
I went on your virtual assistant and tried to explain what I wanted. After going back and forth several she suggested to just use the one box of the three sent and get credit for the rest.
I got 2 credits but now the one box for 10 items shows up for almost $500.00.
If this cannot be fixed I will refuse payment on my credit card.

So far so good. It was easy to order everything I needed to send my tapes off. I received my packaging and the booklet explained everything very well and made it easy to make sure you marked each video to prevent mixups. Now I’m ready to ship off to them and wait for the magic to happen.

Can i edit out parts of the video after i received it back on the thumbdrive? there are sections i would like to delete on my vhs tapes.

How long does it take from production queue to in production and what does it mean when you films are being digitized?

“They say 8-10 weeks. My 8mm film took 12 weeks, my VHS tapes are still not here after 15 weeks.”

I am worried about the reliability and durability of thumb drives. i have had these fail in the past and cannot retrieve the data? thumb or dvd?

“I have done many and the thumb drives have never failed. If it fails, they keep a backup copy for a period of time so you could just request another thumb drive copy or get a digital download.”

You are absolutely more than welcome to share your digital download with anyone you'd like to have access to the files we placed in there - they will be able to download those files as well. After one year, the files will likely be removed from storage, and the link will expire, so you'll want to make sure you've saved your files in a permanent storage place on your computer or external storage device, or move/copy the files into your own cloud storage system.
